
Survival of a nation depends on its devotion to exist and preserve the land, language, religion, culture and political unity. If we are to survive , we should comply and posses those ingredients and qualities that constitute the survival of a nation.
Nationalism: is the character of devotion to our advocacy of national interests to maintain unity and independence.
Unity: the state of being on, with absence of diversity.
Devotion: to dedicate by a solemn act; to give up wholly.
Perseverance: continue to exist and remain in spite of opposition
Each category has its own merit and has been proven to be effective in accomplishing freedom and national identity through history.
1). Nationalism
Garibladi Giuseppe (Joseph)1807-1882
Italian nationalist revolutionary and leader in struggle for Italian unification and independence. In 1833 he joined Young Italy, the movement organized by Italian revolutionaries to achieve the freedom of the Italian people and their unification into self-government republic.
2). Unity
Hertzel Theodor 1860-1904
Jewish writer and journalist who is regarded as one of the greatest influences in a movement that led to thee creation of the State of Israel. In 1949 his remains were transferred to a mountain west of Jerusalem that was later named Mount Herzl.
It was unity, persistence, devotion and systematic work among Jewish people which brought the revival of State of Israel in 1948.
3). Devotion
The devotion and dedication of the Jewish people and their tireless efforts for thousands of years, and their love to exist as a nation.
4). Persistence
Nelson Mandela
The persistent fighting for human rights by Nelson Mandela, a black freedom fighter in a suppressed Apartheid regime of South Africa. His perseverance was led to his victory of the 1993 South African Presidential election. He is the first black man elected as president of the Union of South Africa.
These recent historical events prove that if we want to achieve our goal to survive as a nation, we must comply with those issues mentioned above.
We shall learn and make every effort to unite homogeneously...
